Tall Bearded Iris 'MAPLE TREAT'

"MAPLE TREAT (O.Brown 1995) S- med brown F-lighter brown, paler below thick gold beard".A picture growing at home and it sure is a beautiful Iris when it blooms.Not well known as it is a slow increase for me,and most commercial grower's did not sell it in New Zealand ,the grower I purchased it from has closed his business,but if you can find someone who is selling it I recommend that you buy it, in my opinion it is a "Maple Treat" Its Autumn here and we still have one re blooming Iris flowering " Champagne Elegance" I took some photo's yesterday so will post next week

  2. Great colour - our iris won't be blooming for another couple of months - and so is lovely to see some now. Do you have trouble with iris borer in New Zealand? In years with light snow cover here in Oakville, Ontario I've lost several plants - this year however, all looks well.
